So, I finally got to do one of these 2 man TT things. All I can say is.... SA-WEET! Andy Daley and I showed up in Garden Prairie today for our first try at a TT together and we suffered, and had a great time doing it. Gosh, I'm sick. I had tired legs from my recent 5 day riding excursion out of Asheville, NC, so I did not know what to expect. Well, pain is what I got. The burn. Daley, well, he said he did not have his best day either. Honestly, if this is a bad day for us, then there must be good things to come. I really hope. I love riding with people who ride with heart. Andy is one of those special people. He felt terrible, told me, and we dealt with it. The guy rode himself inside out. Every time I came through to pull, I gapped him to show him my disgust at his terrible preparation for this target event. Just to show him how much I care. NOT. Just kidding. I seriously recommend this to my other teammates for the bonding that can take place ONLY when suffering together. Julian, you know what I'm talking about : ) Andy and I finished a respectable 4th today, against some seriously talented and experienced competition. Thanks to Ted Westerhide of MetLife for handing it to me (us), again! OK, and the Uber combo of Druber/Zellman? RU kidding me? Talent? Good looks? I don't know, but these guys are regularly a clinic on TT racing. Thanks alot to the ABD club for putting on another great run event. Thanks for reading... Next up will be the Monsters of the Midway crit.
